Sound Level Meter

This application functions as a comprehensive tool for analyzing sound levels and determining the quality of microphone bandwidth. It offers features such as a spectrum analyzer and the ability to measure the dynamic range of sound in different frequency bands.

With this app, you can use it as a VU-meter in FAST mode or as an RMS-meter in SLOW mode, providing flexibility in time weighting. Additionally, there is an available user equalizer for microphone calibration, which enhances accuracy in measurement results.

The app also supports a Bluetooth handsfree microphone, allowing for added convenience during usage.

Key features of this app include:

• Measurement of total sound level
• Measurement of sound level in selected frequency bands (with the option to adjust band size to one or 1/3 octave)
• Determination of minimum and maximum levels over a specific measurement period
• Measurement of frequency with the highest level
• Displaying the signal's spectrum

Users have control over various settings, including:

• Selecting the FFT size (4096 or 8192) for different frequency resolution options (10.7 Hz or 5.4 Hz)
• Choosing between Fast or Slow time weighting (with time options of 1 sec and 0.125 sec)
• Enabling A, C, or ITU-R 468 frequency weighting

The app also allows for correction (calibration) of the AFC to account for any irregularities in frequency response from the microphone and recording device path.

Please note that while this app offers powerful functionalities, it does not guarantee precise readings suitable for scientific measurements. The device itself may have dynamic signal processing features (such as automatic gain control and limiter NR) that are not controlled by the program.
